Sliding sash windows are counterbalanced with spiral balances or traditional box sash weights for smooth, effortless operation, and can be made with slim glazing bars matched to the proportions of your period.
Casement windows are hinged - side-hung, top-hung or tilt-and-turn - and suit any elevation. On a flush casement the sash closes flush into the frame face for a seamless, heritage appearance, which makes it one of the most conservation-friendly options we make.
Bay windows add light, space and character: three-sided splay bays, square bays and curved bow windows, built to your exact structural opening with sash or casement lights as you prefer. Every style comes with double or triple glazing and a 10-year structural guarantee.

Timber Window Style FAQs
Four: sliding sash, casement, flush casement and bay windows. Casements can be side-hung, top-hung or tilt-and-turn, and a bay can combine sash and casement lights.
A sash window slides open within its frame, counterbalanced by spiral balances or box sash weights. A casement window is hinged and swings open - side-hung, top-hung or tilt-and-turn.
Flush casements are one of the most conservation-friendly options we make, and our sash windows can be made with authentic through-glazing bars or slim bonded bars. We regularly supply designs approved for conservation areas and listed buildings.
Hardwood is our most durable option, resisting the weather for decades and holding paint beautifully. Softwood is an excellent, better-value choice that takes a painted finish superbly. At the survey we will recommend the right option for your budget, aspect and finish.
